QCS Sustainability Program Reaches 3,100 Students
Qatar Cancer Society (QCS), in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, continues to implement its sustainable awareness program “Your Health, Your Success ”, launched in 2017 to promote health awareness among school students and encourage positive health behaviors within the school community.
During the 2025–2026 academic year, the program reached more than 3,100 students across 124 public and private schools through a series of interactive workshops and educational activities designed to engage students of different ages and simplify key health concepts.

In recognition of its contributions to community initiatives and health education, QCS was honored as a National Partner by the Department of Private Schools and Kindergartens at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education during the closing ceremony of the “My Values Shape My Identity” project for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Commenting on the program, Ms. Heba Nassar, Head of Health Awareness at QCS, said that the initiative reflects the Society’s commitment to educating students about healthy lifestyles, reducing harmful health behaviors, and increasing awareness of cancer-related issues, including risk factors, prevention methods, and the importance of early detection. She added that the program also aims to reduce fear surrounding cancer and promote a positive understanding of prevention and informed health choices.

The program featured a variety of engaging activities, including healthy cooking sessions, science cinema, sports activities, awareness games, and specialized health workshops covering healthy living, disease prevention, physical activity, proper nutrition, and early detection.
According to Nassar, these efforts have helped raise students’ health awareness, encourage healthier behaviors, promote physical activity, and strengthen a culture of prevention and early detection, thereby helping students make informed health decisions both at school and in their communities.
QCS plans to further develop the program through innovative educational solutions, including interactive digital tools, smart educational games, and the “Young Health Ambassadors” initiative, to expand its impact and encourage students to become advocates for healthy lifestyles.

The Society reaffirmed its pride in its ongoing partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and its commitment to supporting school health, improving students’ quality of life, and contributing to Qatar’s vision of a healthier and more informed society.
