QCS Honors 51 Partners Supporting Treatment and Awareness in 2025
Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) held its Annual Partners and Supporters Recognition Ceremony 2025, honoring 51 organizations and institutions that played a vital role in supporting cancer treatment, awareness, and patient empowerment initiatives over the past year.

The ceremony brought together representatives from national institutions, private sector entities, strategic partners, media representatives, and cancer survivors, reflecting the strength of community collaboration in advancing the Society’s humanitarian mission.
Dr. Khalid bin Jabr Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Cancer Society, emphasized that strategic partnerships remain a cornerstone of QCS’s achievements and sustainability. He noted that recognizing partners reflects the Society’s deep appreciation for their commitment and meaningful contributions in improving the lives of cancer patients and survivors.
Dr. Khalid revealed that, with the support of its partners and donors, QCS funded the treatment of more than 1,790 patients in 2025, with a total cost exceeding QAR 47.5 million. This support covered adult patients treated at the National Center for Cancer Care and Research and pediatric patients receiving care at Sidra Medicine, helping ease financial burdens and ensure access to essential treatment.
He further highlighted the Society’s growing impact in psychosocial support and awareness. In 2025, more than 1,200 individuals directly benefited from psychosocial support programs, while approximately 40,000 beneficiaries were reached through targeted awareness campaigns via SMS and digital platforms. Additionally, 50 patients received individualized psychosocial counseling services.

QCS also expanded its strategic engagement across sectors, signing 17 strategic partnerships with government and private entities. The Society implemented more than 80 awareness initiatives throughout the year, strengthening prevention efforts and promoting early detection across diverse community groups.
Awareness efforts reached more than 6.6 million indirect beneficiaries through year-round digital campaigns, online educational content, and outreach initiatives. Meanwhile, 18,950 individuals participated directly in workshops, awareness programs, and community events, reinforcing QCS’s leadership role in cancer awareness and education.
The ceremony featured a documentary highlighting the Society’s achievements and milestones, produced by Al Rayyan TV, showcasing the impact of community support in advancing cancer care and awareness. The event also included an inspiring survivor story shared by Mona Al Kuwari, whose personal journey reflected resilience, hope, and the importance of community support.
In recognition of their inspiring contributions, QCS honored leading cancer survivors and announced the appointment of new Honorary Ambassadors, including Mr. Majid Al Jebara, Managing Editor of Al Raya Newspaper, and TV presenter Sheikha Al Kuwari, in appreciation of their efforts in promoting cancer awareness.
The ceremony concluded with the recognition of partners and supporters, reaffirming QCS’s commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships, expanding awareness programs, and continuing its mission to build a cancer-aware community and improve the quality of life for those affected by cancer.
