He emphasized that this achievement serves as a strong motivation to further advance humanitarian initiatives and maximize their sustainable impact.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Chairman of QCS highlighted that the award reinforces a spirit of positive competition among social institutions to deliver high-quality initiatives aligned with the Society\u2019s vision of \u201cA cancer-aware community and a better life for those affected,\u201d which stems from Qatar National Vision 2030, focusing on sustainable development and human capital investment.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He further explained that the Society received the award for its \u201cWeyakum\u201d platform, a pioneering digital solution designed to support cancer patients\u2019 treatment. The platform enables patients to apply for financial assistance and complete procedures electronically without the need for in-person visits, thereby streamlining processes and reducing the burden on patients. Applications are reviewed by a specialized committee within a maximum of 48 hours, based on defined criteria including financial assessment and medical documentation.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7513 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.qcs.qa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/2-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qcs.qa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/2-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.qcs.qa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/2-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.qcs.qa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/2-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.qcs.qa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/2-1536x1152.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/www.qcs.qa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/2-463x348.jpeg 463w, https:\/\/www.qcs.qa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/2.jpeg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Dr. Al Thani confirmed that the Society follows a transparent model in which financial support is directed directly to healthcare providers. Treatment costs are settled in collaboration with institutions such as the National Center for Cancer Care and Research and Sidra Medicine, ensuring efficiency and accountability. These services are provided to residents within the State of Qatar.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He stated that in 2025, the Society facilitated treatment for 1,789 patients who were unable to afford care, with total expenditures exceeding QAR 47.5 million. This was delivered through the \u201cWeyyakum\u201d platform, which is integrated with the \u201cSanad\u201d platform of the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities, enabling streamlined processes and enhanced coordination of efforts.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He added that the Society\u2019s digital transformation has significantly enhanced its support mechanisms by simplifying procedures and accelerating decision-making, ultimately easing patients\u2019 challenges and ensuring timely assistance.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Dr. Al Thani also pointed out that while the social sector\u2014particularly non-profit organizations\u2014continues to deliver impactful initiatives, it faces challenges related to financial sustainability.
